It’s getting brighter outside. The winter blues are melting away. You’re wolfing down the last few slices of pie from Pi π day 3/14 (you froze them for even more goodness to enjoy today 😋).​

And testing season is also approaching.
​
Standardized testing is one of those necessary evils (in my opinion). We need data to monitor their growth yet the data we get back is useless.
​
Students over tested, overwhelmed and quite frankly dont give a f**k anymore. They will speed run them test. Clicking C all the way down to avoid it. Now your abilities to teach are questioned. Are you truly effective? Are you just another body in the school taking up space and paycheck?

Their scores doesn’t change YOUR PURPOSE 🧡

Is it hella uncomfortable to have those conversations with admin? Absolutely.
​
Is it taxing when uncaring parents who ignored your calls, texts & emails about their child failing your class, suddenly finds the energy to message back, cussing and fussing? Absolutely.
​
Is this a sign to run away & hide? Absolutely Not ‼️
​
No one can take away your education, your magic and your essence that makes you, YOU. Speak into existence the future you desire for yourself. Speak into existence the future you desire for your students. Speak those thangs, again and again until they become REALITY.
